Three Harry Potter Outfits Under $50

As a self-proclaimed Harry Potter nerd, I love wearing outfits that show off my love for all things magical, especially when visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It’s more than a just a vacation destination, it’s home. As soon as I walk into Hogsmeade village, I’m instantly immersed into the wizarding world where I can cast spells, drink Butterbeer, and listen to the Frog Choir.

But if you really want to immerse yourself in the wizarding world, you need to rock a magical Harry Potter outfit!

While I would love to purchase the Hogwarts house robes that are for sale at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, I just can’t bring myself to spend $115 on one piece of clothing. Especially when you can’t even wear the robe in the parks most of the time because it’s so hot!

So I decided to create three budget-friendly Harry Potter outfits that are perfect to rock at the park, (and in the warmer weather!). The best part is that these outfits are UNDER $50

1. “Reppin’ Your Hogwarts House”

What is the Wizarding World of Harry Potter without Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry? One of the best ways to be part of the Harry Potter universe is by getting sorted into one of the school houses at Hogwarts. If you haven’t been sorted into your Hogwarts house, you can take the official quiz on Pottermore. Whether you’re a loyal Hufflepuff, a brave Gryffindor, an intelligent Ravenclaw, or an ambitious Slytherin, the sorting hat is sure to find the perfect house for you.

I love repping my Hogwarts house every chance I get. I’m a proud Slytherin, and I blame the Malfoys for giving us a bad name.

Once you find out your Hogwarts house, you can start buying all of the fun house merch! These leggings are perfect to wear at the parks, even on cooler days. They are available in all of the different houses and are easily paired with a black top, like the one I found at Amazon!

Outfit Deets: $26

Black Criss-Cross Top ($10): Amazon

Hogwarts House Leggings($16): Amazon

2. “Waiting On My Letter To Hogwarts”

For many of us, we are still waiting for that letter to Hogwarts to show up on our doorstep. So this shirt from Target was absolutely perfect! I love how the pink really stands out as well as the magical touches it has like Hedwig and Harry Potter’s glasses.

This black skater skirt is not only perfect for this outfit, but I pair it with SO many other outfits. If you haven’t already invested in a basic black skirt, I highly recommend you purchasing this one from Amazon. The best part is that this skirt is only $13.

Outfit Deets: $29

Waiting on My Letter to Hogwarts Shirt ($16) : Etsy (similar and available in multiple colors)

Black Skater Skirt ($13): Amazon

3. “Hogwarts House Uniform”

This is by far my favorite Harry Potter outfit I’ve worn! This outfit is inspired by the Hogwarts uniforms, and I felt like a Slytherin student ready to practice casting spells in Charms class. To get this look I paired my black skater skirt with a Slytherin shirt I had purchased at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter when it first opened. While I love this shirt, this shirt is no longer sold so I linked other options down below.

But an accessory that every Potter fan needs is a house scarf! Those were always my favorite outfit pieces from the movies, and I love that the colors alone can represent your Hogwarts house. If you want to save close to $20 on the scarf, I recommend ordering it from Amazon versus in the parks.

Outfit Deets:

Hogwarts House Scarf ($25): Amazon

Hogwarts House Shirt- similar ($20): Amazon SlytherinGryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw

Black Skater Skirt ($13): Amazon

There you have my three favorite Harry Potter outfits for under $50! I hope you loved the outfits, and are inspired to rock your own Harry Potter inspired look!

Until next time, my muggle and wizard friends

Xo, Chelsey
