First off, this just in from the folks at Azkatraz 2009, HPEF’s upcoming Harry Potter Convention taking place in San Francisco from July 17 – 21. Calling all aspiring fandom fashion designers and costumers!! If you haven’t heard, this year’s informal programming includes Project: Wizard, a wizarding fashion show & competition, and Azkatraz’s Next Top Witch, a modeling competition! Submissions are still open and all information about the competitions is listed here. If you’re a designer without a model, they will try to match you up with someone. If you’re a model without a designer, have no fear! They will find you a spot too! For all questions, queries and comments, email fashionshow@hp2009.org. I’ll be one of the judges at the show, so remember to bring your A-game!
In other fashion competition news, it appears Bravo will begin taping their new fashion reality show in New York next week, aptly named The Fashion Show, with singer Kelly Rowland, uberdesigner Isaac Mizrahi, and IMG’s Senior VP of Fashion (aka the Queen of New York Fashion Week) Fern Mallis in the judges’ chairs. Designers will not only be judged by these A-Listers, but also by a studio audience! This should be interesting…

And oh my, you’re an HP fan! My husband and I usually go to a con per year, but we’re skipping them this year to go on our delayed honeymoon. We’ll be at Infinitus next year though! :) :)
